 You must use the metro to move around the city easily. You should learn some local expressions like “parce” to connect with people. You have to bring comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot. You might want to book tickets for attractions in advance.

  You should attend the Flower Fair if you go in August. If you visit at night, you might enjoy the salsa clubs and live music. You must try bandeja paisa, the traditional dish. If you go to Arví Park, you could hike and enjoy the fresh air.

  Comuna 13, Plaza Botero, Arví Park. You must visit Comuna 13 to learn about its history through street art. You could walk around Plaza Botero and admire the giant sculptures. You should take the cable car to Arví Park to enjoy nature and amazing views.

  I used to think Medellín was only about mountains, but when I visited, I discovered its vibrant culture and transformation. I stayed in El Poblado, visited Comuna 13, and enjoyed the Flower Fair. It was one of the best trips of my life.
